Schematic representation of the FSP process. Initially, at high flame spray temperature atoms are dispersed, as time passes and the temperature cools down first ZrO2 doped with Zn appears. The solution becomes rich in Zn and Cu generating the brass nuclei even at lower T. Finally, the full structure merges showing the CuZn inclusions in the ZrO2 matrix.
